Has anybody tried this type of work from home thing, where you can make money taking surveys? You supposedly get 10$ for every survey you take, but there is an annuall membership fee of 34$. I don’t think it is a scam, but can anybody let me know if they have tried this and if it is worth it to make a few extra bucks on the side? If not, anyone know of good work from home options?

The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics — e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old — and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey — you’re definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.

Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don’t earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

Never pay out of your pocket for any kind of a survey, stuffing envelopes or working at home or anything where you have to pay first..

I want to have the chance to make some money online, but every time you sign up for something so you can take their survey are they going to be calling you and promoting something to you or no?

i never get solicitation phone calls, i do get focus groups calling me and verified income to my paypal and amazon accounts. You have to be VERY careful in doing surveys, a lot of companies present themselves as survey sites when they are actually GPT sites that offer a survey side. Please check any survey site on Survey Police before you join them. AW Surveys, as recommended above, is a scam site.
